We were very pleasantly surprised as to how good many of the wines were, especially at the value end of the scale where many of our favourites are forward with lots of ripe fruit and will make excellent drinking in 2-3 years time. This is a vintage for us all.

Another wonderful vintage. Fast on the heels of the excellent 2009s, Bordeaux has produced yet another superb vintage. In contrast to the rich, fruit-driven wines of the previous year, 2010 is characterised by a more classic claret style. Whilst tasting surprisingly well from the barrel, most of these wines need a while in the cellar and should age superbly. What is en primeur?
En primeur refers to the process of buying wines before they are bottled and released onto the market. The customer stands to make 20-30% savings on fine wines when buying en primeur. You only pay for the cost of the wine now. When it's shipped, we will invoice you for the duty, delivery (£7.50)* and VAT, unless you wish to keep the wine in Bond.
*The delivery charge will only apply to the first five cases in any En Primeur delivery. There may however be an extra charge for delivery to islands.
