The 2010 Burgundy En Primeur vintage was very good indeed. “The 2010s are looking very delicious” / “This is a lovely vintage” —Jancis Robinson, jancisrobinson.com Click here.
Château Pontet Bagatelle, available for delivery in late April/early May, at a greatly discounted price. Offer closes on Friday January 20th. Click here.
Another wonderful vintage. Fast on the heels of the excellent 2009s, Bordeaux has produced yet another superb vintage. In contrast to the rich, fruit-driven wines of the previous year, 2010 is characterised by a more classic claret style. Whilst tasting surprisingly well from the barrel, most of these wines need a while in the cellar and should age superbly. As ever FromVineyardsDirect is focusing on the affordable end of the price range (£60-400) where we think the real value lies. Click here to browse.
“I find it hard to imagine that I will ever again encounter such successful consecutive vintages in Bordeaux as 2009 and the infant 2010s.”
—Jancis Robinson MW

What is en primeur?
En primeur refers to the process of buying wines before they are bottled and released onto the market. The customer stands to make 20-30% savings on fine wines when buying en primeur. You only pay for the cost of the wine now. When it s shipped towards the end of the year or early the following year, we will invoice you for the duty, Vat and £7.50 for delivery, unless you wish to keep the wine in Bond.
