Pauillac 2013

A small & rather special parcel of declassified wine from the most famous 1st Growth in Pauillac. The Chateau produced rather too much merlot in 2013 for their usual blend and hence this wine is 80% Merlot which makes it a lovely drinking wine almost immediately with a good 5-7 years ahead of it.

It was vinified in exactly the same way as the Chateau label for 1/20th of the price…for those of us who can’t afford £4000+ a case this is as good as it gets…

Our Tasting Notes

An extraordinary elegant, fruit driven nose. Very sophisticated Merlot driven fine wine that shows its real pedigree. Beginning to drink well already - a treat.
