Cascina Chicco, ‘Anterisio’ | DOCG Roero Arneis
2009
The Arneis grape is fast growing in popularity amongst consumers and wine writers alike. Robert Parker describes it as one of his ‘favorite wines to drink as an aperitivo’ and one of the ‘Best wines values in the world’.
Cascina Chicco, located on a beautiful hillside in Piedmont, is one of the very top producers in Roero, the home of Arneis. Over the years they have developed a strong reputation for producing very delicate, complex and perfumed wines and this wine is no exception. A lovely summer wine.

About Roero Arneis
Based on the left bank of the river Tanaro in Piedmont Roero is renowned for its Arneis and Nebbiolo. Arneis, meaning ‘little rascal’ in the Piemontese dialect, is a delicate white variety that thrives in the chalky and sandy soil of this region. The wines tend to be dry, crisp with good minerality and strong flavors of apple, pear and apricot.
