Gavin & Angela Quinney have produced an exceptional blend of Sauvignon and Semillion at Château Bauduc that would put many far more expensive white Graves to shame. It is the House white in all of Gordon Ramsay’s 3 star restaurants and several of Rick Stein’s restaurants. It is needless to say a great food wine. Very high quality affordable white, which will definitely be one of our top summer wines.

‘[Wine of the Week] What I liked about this wine was its crystal clear, particularly precise, piercing nose followed by attractive smokiness and good palate weight. In fact this has so much extract (no excessive yields here) that there is just a tiniest hint of the oiliness of some white Graves, but it rises above this to be a thoroughly fine dry white bordeaux (and it's much cheaper than most white Graves).... I would chill this quite heavily for aperitif drinking but, served at room temperature, it would make a lovely wine at the table. Honey, lemon colour, a fresh sophisticated nose with excellent fruit. Good balance and acidity—the Semillon/Sauvignon blend gives the wine body and style. This is an excellent food wine—as well as by itself.Wine data
