Mas de Cadenet Sainte Victoire
Côtes de Provence
new vintageThis award winning Rosé from the foothills of Sainte Victoire can be found in some of the very best Michelin starred restaurants throughout France, and with good reason. It is exactly what you would expect of a very serious Provencal Rosé: dry, wonderfully delicate, with a lovely salmon colour and a complex fruit and floral bouquet. We will be drinking lots of it this summer. Stunning value for a wine of this caliber. This wonderful Provencal Rosé also comes in the most spectacular Magnums bottles we’ve seen—ideal for parties and barbecues.

(50 Summer Wines) 'A seductive pale pink Provençal Rosé with lovely delicate fruit and a crisp clean finish.'—Jonathan Ray, Daily TelegraphOur tasting notes
Pale pink salmon colour with nose that exudes soft red fruit and hint of flowers. It is dry, refreshing, very well balanced and everything you would expect from a really good Provence Rosé. Ideal with the oil and garlic based cuisine of Provence or with fish, chicken or even tomato based pastas and of course by itself.Wine data

About Provence
The climate here is France's most Mediterranean, with long hot summers and minimal rainfall. As a wine growing region Provence has almost become synonymous with Rosé, most of which is consumed locally, but it is also showing great potential for producing good red wines. By far and away the most significant appellation in this part of France is Côtes de Provence, where no fewer than 13 different grape varieties are permitted, the most predominant of which, by some margin, is Grenache. Four fifths of the production in Côtes de Provence is of pale pink Rosé and whilst inevitably a lot of it is average to mediocre, this is where, along with Bandol, you will find the most serious Rosés in Provence. The soil diversity brings complexity to the wines with the clay in particular lending the wines great power and aromatic structure.
