A cracking high quality Pinot Grigio from the hills of Treviso for under £8 a bottle. Renowned winemaker Pietro Catelli has received considerable acclaim for the superb quality and excellent value of his wines, and this is no exception. A delicious bargain.

Our tasting notes

Light straw yellow, bursting with floral and fruit flavours. Hints of dry hay, fresh lemon and acacia honey. A lovely wine for all seasons. When we first tasted it we finished the bottle!

About Pinot Grigio

Thought to be a mutant clone of the Pinot noir grape, Pinot Grigio (or Pinot Gris), was supposedly brought over to Italy from Burgundy. It is a grape that grows best in cooler climates and so is most commonly grown in the north of the country, around Veneto, Friuli and Alto Adige.

Over the last ten years it has become immensely popular due to its freshness and easiness to drink without food.
