Château Ducluzeau | Listrac-Médoc
1999 (IN WOODEN CASES)
SOLD OUTA parcel of 100 cases of mature Claret from Chateau Ducluzeau now regarded as the best property in Listrac. It is run & owned by the Borie Family and made by the Château Ducru Beaucaillou team. From the 1999 vintage the wine is forward, approachable and drinking perfectly now. We were all bowled over when we tasted it—it was quite
delicious. It is less expensive than the 2000 which we sold so successfully.
We are limiting everyone to a maximum of 3 cases—don't delay!
Our tasting notes
Cherries and ripe fruit flavours from a very appealing nose. A wine fordrinking over the next two years while it is at its absolute peak. It
doesn't have the austerity of the 2000—softer and more feminine which is
very much typical of this vintage. This is wine that we will all be
drinking....

About Château Ducluzeau
The vineyards are only 4.9 ha in size and are situated on the Listrac gravel plateau in the Médoc. Harvesting is entirely by hand from vines that have an average age of 40 years+. The wine spends 14-18 months in French oak barrels of which at least 40% are new. Everything is run to the same exacting high standards as are practiced at Château Ducru Beaucaillou.
