Owned and run by Pierre Lurton “Cheval Blanc and Yquem's famed winemaker. A great value wine that is for earlier drinking than some of our other En Primeur offers. Drink 2011-2017.

Jancis Robinson, 16: "Very dark purple. Pretty ripe and concentrated on the nose. Very sweet and luscious—really quite different from the Bordeaux norm—so opulent and fragrant! My first 2009. Not so dense on the palate but super-beguiling, almost more like an eau de cologne than a wine."

An excellent 2009 from Médoc favourite Lanessan that is always great value.

Jancis Robinson, 16+: "Dark crimson. Toasty and appetising on the nose. Thick and dense and succulent, too. Good balance! Drink 2013-2018."

3 bottles Château Peyrabon, Haut Médoc Cru Bourgeois 2009
Château Peyrabon is widely-regarded as a property ‘in the ascendancy’ and has benefited hugely from recent investment. Very good value. Drink 2016-2020.

Wine Spectator, 89-92: "Currant bush, with crushed berries on the nose that follow through to a full body. Chewy tannins are a little extracted, but finishes juicy."
