Domaine Lafoy, Cuvée JYL | Côte-Rôtie

2009

Yves and Jocelyn Lafoy are two of the rising stars of Côte-Rôtie. They learned their winemaking skills from the legendary, late Cote Rotie producer, Patrick Jasmin. This wine, from the great 2009 vintage, is a rich, well-structured wine-beautifully made with minerality, from the very steep terraced slopes, and a long finish. It should age well and last for 10+ years, possibly a lot longer. As with all Côte-Rôtie the wine is entirely from these vineyards, first planted by the Romans.

Our tasting notes

Dark, deep intense red with powerful fruit and mineral flavours. Rich, well structure flavour and complexity. A wine that will improve for the next 20 years.
