The 'Pink' made by Michel and Isabelle Mathieu is gorgeous—a beautifully made Pink Champagne that knocks spots off most of the Grand Cru Rosé Champagnes that are £10-20 a bottle more. Sadly, though, they only make a very small quantity so stocks are limited.

Clear salmon pink with a lovely fresh nose exuding fresh summer fruits. A full-bodied, soft and refreshing pink Champagne. Very high quality.

About Champagne

Good Champagne is the most delicious and exhilarating of all aperitifs. Made from the black Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier or Chardonnay grapes and sometimes from as many 200 communes for the bigger brands, the wines must be aged in the bottle for a minimum of 15 months in the deep chalk cellars in and around Epernay and Reims. While 90% of Champagne consumed in the UK is from the big brand Champagne houses, this is not the case in France which drinks 2/3 of the region's production and where the brands are nothing like as dominant.

 

Prices are all-inclusive for deliveries to UK mainland and Northern Ireland. Minimum total order is 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for the UK and 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for Northern Ireland. We also offer a collection service for our French wines from just outside Calais, France (minimum of 5 cases and excluding mixed cases), at a per-bottle saving of £1.50 for wines and £2.00 for Champagne, and a per-case saving of £18 for wine, £24 per 12-case/£12 per 6-case for Champagne.
