Prà | Soave Classico
2010
This Soave Classico from Prà is without question one of the highest quality Soaves—not to be confused with supermarket Soaves which are altogether different and vastly inferior. Made with passion by Sergio and Graziano Prà this is a serious wine, and great value for money.
The Press
‘An enjoyable mouthfull of wine, well constructed with pleasing aromas and flavours such as apple, white fruits, flowers and hints of apricot. There is also an attractive weight to the palate which shows good balance and freshnesss, highlighted by nice intigrated acidity and mineral bite.’ —Wine of the Month December 2010, Decanter Magazine 90 points: ‘Prà is one of my favourite producers in Veneto. These wines all deliver considerable quality for the money. The 2009 Soave Classico opens with gorgeous aromatics that that lead to crisp, beautifullyarticulated fruit. The persistence, balance and clean minerally finish, add up to an absolutely delicious bottle of Soave. Needless to say it is highly recommended.’ —Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate ‘A reference point-producer in Soave’ —Robert ParkerOur tasting notes
Pale golden hue. Floral and yeasty nose with hints of honey and lemon curd. Lots of white fruits, mineral flavours and a lovely refreshing acidity. Lemon and lychee on the finish. Drink with delicate white fish, goat cheese salad or a creamy risotto or pasta.Wine data

About Soave
Soave is a dry white wine from the Veneto region of north eastern Italy. The very best representations can be found in the Classico region composed of hillside vineyards in the communes of Soave and Monteforte d'Alpone. Whilst most wines are made from 100% Garganega, a resilient, late-ripening indigenous variety, producers are legally allowed to include up to 30% of either pinot Blanco, Chardonnay or Trebbiano. The latter is much the most popular.
