Domaine Bernard Fleuriet | Sancerre

2007

The finest and most distinctive Sauvignon Blanc in France comes from Sancerre. After several months of tasting dozens of Sancerres, we came across the Fleuriet family who run their vineyard as they should—with all their grapes being picked by hand and the wine made with great passion. The result is a very fine Sancerre.

The Press
'Kudos to the importer of this fine effort.' —Decanter, March 2008
Our tasting notes
Pale and clear with a fresh, grassy and vivacious nose. The wine is delicate, flinty, crisp and full bodied—it is also rich and deliciously balanced. Exactly what you would expect from a really good Sancerre. Ideal by itself or with most cheeses—Chèvre especially—and seafood. The partner 'made in heaven' for Dover sole.
