The Sporting Mixed Case

Now that the sporting season has started we have put together a special selection of wines perfect for every sporting occasion. We have covered elevenses with Sherry and Sloe gin, ripe claret and fresh white Burgundy for lunch and port to finish it off. It aims to grease the joints and keep you as jolly as possible even with a lack of game and soggy tweeds.

A simply stunning Manzanilla from the Bodegas Borbon, owned by the Spanish Royal family, that has never been seen in the UK before.

1 bottle of Roxtons Sloe Gin, Hungerford, Berkshire NV
The best sloe gin on the market by a country mile.

1 bottle of Churchill’s Late Bottled Vintage Port, Oporto 2003
A cut above those produced by the big shippers. It is rich—and highly recommended as being as close to traditional vintage port as you will get at a fraction of the price.

5 bottles of Château Fourcas-Dumont, Listrac-Médoc 2005
A superb 2005 Claret from one of the best left bank vineyards which is not a classified growth. A reasonably priced Claret that punches well above its weight. Definitely a wine to follow.

4 bottles of Saint-Véran “Merloix”, White Burgundy 2009
A wonderful creamy rich Saint-Véran from the Burgundian House of Pierre Janny that has won countless awards.

Minimum total order is 1 case (12 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for the UK and 2 cases (24 bottles of 75cl equivalent) for Northern Ireland, Highlands and islands.
