Montagny 1er Cru & Co, Laurent Cognard 2019

A cuvée composed of the best fruit from three separate vineyards, this is Montagny but not as you know it - there is a superb concentration of fruit in the fine, compact palate. The rich, almost waxy texture is the backdrop to a lovely interplay between the citrus fruit flavours and the nutty, creamy notes coming from the expert and inspired winemaking. Long, brilliantly fresh on the finish, this is really quite delicious. Drink 2021-2024.
