2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Lucile Avril, Domaine Durieu

The Cuvée Lucile -named after Paul Durieus mother- is a selection from the domaines best parcels of very old grenache vines. Big, dark, rich and warm in style. Whilst the broad tannic structure is prominent in its youth, there is a really vivid and profound expression of primary fruit aromas here. Lots of ripe red and black autumn berries, balanced with notes of liquorice and spice. This is a star wine, with quite a future for cellaring. (85% grenache, with mourvédre, and just a splash of syrah)

En Primeur  - This wine is available En Primeur. The price shown is not inclusive of UK duty and VAT, which will be payable at the prevailing rate upon delivery from bond. Wines will be shipped by spring 2022 and we'll contact you once they've arrived. You will have the option to take delivery, or keep your wine in professional storage.
