2019 Crozes-Hermitage "Les Amandiers", Luc Tardy, Domaine de Murinais

This wine came to us through François Chamboissier, a good friend in the Rhône. We didn't ask for the sample but he thought it so good that we should at least taste it. The wine was one of the best we tasted, and despite being a new Domaine to us, fully justified its place based on the barrel sample and François' recommendation. Fruity and open already on the nose, warm and inviting on the palate with evidence of tanins which give structure and point towards a graceful ageing. We bought it based on the quality and taste profile, but the price is worth a mention too - definitely worth a couple of cases!
