Carillon d'Angélus, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2020
Available En Primeur
Managed by the De Boüard family since 1782, Angélus is sited on the much-vaunted south-facing "foot of the hill" and benefits from an outstanding terroir composed of a large proportion of cabernet franc. It is the south-facing Saint-Emilion slopes that allow this grape variety to fully ripen and gives the wine its unique character year in, year out.
Produced since the 1987 vintage, Carillon dAngélus is crafted with high and rigorous standards and constant quality; now produced in its own winery it is a second wine of impressive ambition.
This is very fine and racy with refined tannins that are long and really precise. Its medium-bodied with a lovely, creamy texture. Really long and bright.
