Champagne Guilleminot

6 x 75cl bottle: £159.00

Champagne Guilleminot's vines are located in the Aube Valley area called the ‘Côte des Bars’, the southern part of Champagne where pinot noir grows beautifully. In order to be different from the traditional blend of pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay, my parents-in-law Michel and Colette decided to plant their vineyard with pinot noir only and focus therefore on the production of Champagne Blanc de Noirs (100% pinot noir), Guilleminot's speciality!
The grapes are hand-picked and vinified in our own cellars which enable us to have a great quality control. Malolactic fermentation is purposely not undertaken to preserve all the natural components of the wine. After bottling, champagne Guilleminot rests peacefully on its lees for a minimum of three years during which time the champagne has time to naturally lose some acidity and achieve a great balance. This is a high quality product which eclipses many of the well-known Champagne brands.

Our Tasting Notes

Champagne Guilleminot Brut Tradition "Blanc de Noir"
Made 100% from pinot noir grapes, giving a fruit-led, yet elegant aperitif-style bubbles. Look for fresh, fragrant fruit on the nose; crunchy berry fruit flavours combining with a classic biscuity note and a gentle mousse and vibrant accent.
Your perfect aperitif or fabulous with seafood.

Champagne Guilleminot Brut Tradition Rosé
Also Blanc de Noirs, 100% pinot noir ageing three years on its lees before being released. The Guilleminot family produces its own red wine called Côteaux Champenois specially for the production of the champagne rosé. This champagne has a vibrant deep salmon pink colour and red fruit aromas with a fine creamy mousse.
A lovely aperitif or perfect with your red fruit dessert.

Champagne Guilleminot Brut Prestige
The Prestige is also made 100% from pinot noir but ages five years on its lees before being released! There is still a lovely fruit character from the pinot noir but with greater richness and depth of yeasty, toasty character. Often the winner in blind tasting against any of the well-known 'grande marque' champagne houses!
Delicious aperitif and also great with fish.
