Château les Ragottes, Bordeaux AOC 2014

Bordeaux

These handy half bottles of very quaffable claret are perfect for a night in at home. The merlot dominant wine has a beautiful and intense deep crimson colour and is perfect for drinking now. The nose reveals aromas of spices and red and black berried fruit, while the superbly harmonious palate shows fine balance over a tannic structure which provides fine aromatic length. Superb value for money, and a fantastic buy.

About

The wine estate of Château Les Ragottes dates from the nineteenth century, but remains of a vineyard going back to the Gallo-Roman period have found in immediate proximity to it. The Orsini family settled here in 1943. At that time, the estate consisted of 3 hectares of vines. Down the years, the family steadily developed its winegrowing business and now, two generations of dedicated winegrowers later, the estate has grown to 18 hectares.
