Château Méaume, Réserve du Château, Bordeaux Supérieur 2014

75cl bottle: £12.95

Case of 12 75cl bottles: £155.40

Château Méaume unfortunately suffered after one of Bordeaux's worst frosts since 1961 last year and as a result, they lost 80%+ of their 2017 crop and so sadly, there will be no 2017 Reserve de Château.

However in order not to disappoint our loyal customers who buy the Réserve du Château, Alan and Sue Johnson Hill have offered us 200 cases of the 2014 from their family stocks. Their 2014 as many of you will know is a full, rich Réserve de Château which is already beginning to drink very well.

There is not much of it to go around (we normally sell 1000 cases of each vintage) so please order what you would like fairly quickly The wine comes in wooden cases.

Set in beautiful countryside, 15 kilometres from the famous wine districts of St Émilion and Pomerol, Château Méaume represents a striking example of how ancient tradition and modern technology can combine in the making of a magnificent wine. The property has been well known in France for many centuries and was once the country residence of Louis XIV's bodyguard - the Chevalier de la Croix Maron, whose wine-making family are credited as having invented the process of making cognac brandy. Today, the owners of the property, Alan and Sue Johnson-Hill, are an English couple who gave up business life in Hong Kong to make Château Méaume their home.
