The best Prosecco on the market, with our learned wine critics saying "One of the best sparklers I’ve tasted" and "This is as good a Prosecco as I can remember" - see below. This refreshing wine has been found for us by the Ciprianis of the Locanda Cipriani on the island of Torcello in the Venetian lagoon. Collalbrigo is located in the middle of the Prosecco hills, between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. This small village is old and sits on top of the ‘Apicureo hill’ which translates as ‘exposed to the sun’.

The history of winemaking in this area goes right back to 1276 and we have been fans of this sparkler since the very beginning of From Vineyards Direct.

Beautifully made and dry, this is delicious on its own or ideal for the perfect 'Bellini'. Exceptional value.

Our Tasting Notes

Bright, small bubbles with a fresh, invigorating nose with hints of apple. Well balanced with good acidity. Refreshing and thoroughly drinkable.

"This is as good a Prosecco as I can remember and the first I’ve recommended here. Zesty, appley, lemony and exhilaratingly refreshing, it has plenty of body and a crisp, clean, dry finish. A great aperitif, it’s also an essential part of a fine Bellini or Sbagliato." - Jonathan Ray, The Spectator

‘Prosecco is in vogue: most of it is pretty forgettable but Collabrigo Prosecco Brut NV, for instance, offers crisp, lemony fruit with some breadth.’ - Andrew Neather, Evening Standard

‘One of the best sparklers I’ve tasted….this is delicately dry, full-flavoured, and a joy to drink on its own. It was discovered by the Cipriani family who serve it at their Locanda Cipriani on Torcello. It is, frankly, of Champagne quality at half the price.’ - Simon Hoggart, The Spectator
