Delivery of this wine will be available from the 4th March
The Devillard family’s Coteaux Bourguignons 'le Renard' has long been the house red Burgundy, served in a carafe, chez Allard, the great Burgundian latin quarter, left bank bistro, founded by a peasant cook from Burgundy, Marthe Allard nearly a century ago. It is now owned by the great Alain Ducasse. David Campbell designed the first Everyman book with his printer on the table cloth over a glass of this delicious wine in 1990. 2017 was a very good Burgundy vintage

About

"The 2017 Coteaux Bourguignons ‘Le Renard’, a Pinot Noir/Gamay blend of quite some breeding from vineyards in Burgundy owned by the Devillard family. We all know how ridiculously overpriced burgundy can be and so what a treat it is to find something tasty that I can darn well afford. I’m told that it’s the house red burgundy at Chez Allard, the famous Parisian bistro owned by the great Alain Ducasse, which ain’t a bad reference. 2017 was a stellar vintage in Burgundy and this has plenty of ripe — yet carefully restrained — red fruit, subtle tannins and a refreshing finish."
