Domaine Maldant Pauvelot, Chorey Les Beaune 2015

75cl bottle: £20.95

Case of 12 75cl bottles: £251.40

The 2015 from Domaine Maldant Pauvelot has superb complexity, character and is delicious, It is a small appellation on the Eastern side of the Côte de Beaune where you can find really good wines for great value in comparison to some of its much more expensive neighbours such as Aloxe-Corton.

Our Tasting Notes

Fruity and supple nose, dominated by black cherries and raspberries with notes of spices, black pepper hint. The palate is well-built with elegant tannins, and black fruits and nice length with a slight woody taste. Great to pair with a Chili Con Carne, duck or cheeses.

Wine Data

Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Appellation: Chorey-Les-Beaune
Alcohol: 13%

Located on the North Coast of Beaune and made entirely from Pinot Noir. Chorey-Lès-Beaune lies on the lower slopes of the Côte de Beaune. Its near neighbours are Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Its wines, generous and approachable, offer an excellent introduction to Bourgogne’s AOC Village.
For a long time in the past they were sold under the names of their more prestigious neighbours but their body and bouquet fully entitled them to their own appellation Village which they were granted in 1970.
