Rosé Bandol 'La Petite Reine', Famille Negrel 2020
We have a small quantity of our rosé Bandol 'La Petite Reine' 2020 in stock which I tasted last week and am pleased to report that after two years in bottle it is even better. It is deliciously fresh with glorious underlying fruit flavours. All in all a very high class rosé.
Bandol produces the finest rosés in Provence. The vineyards overlook the port of Bandol and the shimmering blue Mediterranean. The cool sea breeze gives the wines extra crispness, flavour and definition. The Negrel family, who make Mas de Cadenet for us, have a tiny plot of vines in Bandol where they make La Petite Reine.
PS - the village of Bandol along with Cassis are in my opinion the two most charming ports with outstanding restaurants and cafés on the Mediterranean.

Classic Bandol Balanced with great fruit on nose and palate Crisp with good acidity My favourite Rose
It was nice but not 'knock your socks off' lovely in a way that a Ros can be on a delightful English summer's evening. A bit too hard and vinuous.
