Sauvignon de Touraine, Domaine Bellevue 2021
The new vintage of Domaine Bellevues hugely popular Sauvignon de Touraine is here, and it's better than ever.
I seem to have found myself drinking much more white recently than red. I must admit that even when it's grey and blowy outside then a bright shimmering white can soon add a touch of brightness to the day and Bellevue has long been my go to everyday drop of sunshine.
Heralding from the majestic Loire valley region, home to many of Frances grandest and most spectacular castles and châteaux. The vineyards of Bellevue are near neighbours to one of the most prestigious, Château de Chenonceau, and their wines would certainly not felt out of place gracing even their most noble residents table.
Who wouldn't love to have a chilled Sancerre at their wedding or a minerally dry Pouilly-Fumé at their birthday drinks, but sometimes these may possibly stretch the budget a little too far, so let me tell you about the new 2021 vintage of Sauvignon de Touraine from Domaine Bellevue. Packing in arguably even more flavour than many famous villages, this is the perfect choice for any occasion, and you can enjoy a bottle with as many friends as you want without breaking the bank.

Most Touraine Sauvignon I find disappointing, but this is an outstanding exception. Light golden colour, joyous fruity nose, good concentration and a dry finish. Could drink on its own, too good for a party wine, excellent with fish and white meats, and a nice change from the go-to Macon whites. (previous vintage)
