Shipped directly from Argentina for us, this Mendoza Malbec has just landed. I re-tasted it as soon as I could upon arrival and it is a great wine, fully justifying its place as the first Malbec on our list for quite some time. Very attractive deep cherry nose: expressive, but still with nice restraint and balance. Dark and inky, with a fine combination of deep, tarry, spicy notes, luscious blueberry and mulberry flavours, and a crisp fruit-coulis freshness. A highly drinkable Malbec: pure and fruit-driven, with no hard edges.
