Mas de Cadenet Sainte Victoire, Côtes de Provence 2018 Magnum

Côtes de Provence

Magnum 150cl bottle: £30.95

Case of 6 Magnum 150cl bottles: £185.70

This award winning Rosé from the foothills of Cézanne Mont Sainte Victoire can be found in some of the very best Michelin starred restaurants throughout France, and with good reason. It is exactly what you would expect of a very serious Provencal Rosé: dry, wonderfully delicate, with a lovely salmon colour and a complex fruit and floral bouquet. Stunning value for a wine of this calibre. This wonderful Provencal Rosé also comes in some of the most spectacular Magnum bottles we’ve seen—ideal for parties and barbecues.

Our Tasting Notes

Pale pink wild salmon colour with nose that exudes soft red fruit and hint of flowers. It is dry, refreshing, very well balanced and a really good Provence Rosé. Ideal with the oil and garlic based cuisine of Provence or with fish, chicken or even tomato based pastas and of course by itself.

The climate here is France's most Mediterranean, with long hot summers and minimal rainfall. As a wine growing region Provence has almost become synonymous with Rosé, most of which is consumed locally, but it is also showing great potential for producing good red wines.

(50 Summer Wines) 'A seductive pale pink Provençal Rosé with lovely delicate fruit and a crisp clean finish.'—Jonathan Ray, Daily Telegraph

What I've enjoyed most this week… Just one glass of good wine. I am tring to drink less and was very happy to find a decent, strawberry-scented Provençal rosé good enough to feel treat-like (rather than taste like vinous fuel) in a small, cute botle. It lasted me three nights, which also meant it came in at less than some people's cappuccino budget.'—Victoria Moore, Daily Telegraph
