2010 Clarets Mixed Case
2010 Bordeaux - one of the greatest ever Bordeaux vintages.
"...it is an inescapable truth that 2010 has produced another year of compelling Bordeaux that wil go down as a prodigious vintage..."
Robert Parket: The Wine Advocate
"Another stellar vintage , with higher tannin and more freshness than 2009 but comparable intensity. More appealing to classical palates"
Jancis Robinson MW
In this mixed case, you will receive three bottles each of the following vintages;
Château Carcanieux, Médoc 2010 - "...another head-turning Cru Bourgeois. Why go for the big names when you can go for this? A deep brownish red, it boasts a nose of quite delightful mellow autumn fruit matched in the mouth by a mix of fresh redcurrants, blackcurrants and lightly poached plums. Its serious claret for a crazy price."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
Château Laroche Bel Air, Côtes de Bordeaux 2010 - A cracking 2010 with lots of chewy, unctuous fruit. Fresh, and very well-balanced with soft tannins and a long finish. Will only get better as well.
Château Ramafort, Cru Bourgeois, Médoc, Bordeaux 2010 - A blend of 50% merlot and 50% cabernet sauvignon. Dense deep red colour with a nose that is full of smooth, rich red berries and black fruit - cherry, blueberry and blackberries.
Château Les Moines, Cru Bourgeois, Médoc 2010 - Laced with dark fruit flavour (cassis, blackberries, plums and more) with delicious complexity and just the right amount of oak. It is drinking beautifully now and will for the next 3-4 years.
