Château d'Escurac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc 2015
"The 2015 Ch. d’Escurac is a hugely popular Cru Bourgeois that flew out the door when last we offered it. An equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, it’s full of brooding cassis flavours and a whisper of spice."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
Château d'Escurac 2015 is one of the better Médoc Cru Bourgeois and has been a firm favourite of mine for many years, producing consistently high quality wine at a more than reasonable price. Their 2015 is particularly good coming from a great vintage with scores of 91 points from both James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast. I particularly recommend it, being rather greedy myself, in splendid magnums that will captivate your friends, family and yourself of course.
The château dates back to the 11th century and lies on one of the highest crests in the Médoc with a terroir of gravel and clay. The oak aged blend is 60% merlot, 30% cabernet and 10% petit verdot. All in all the perfect ingredients to make a fine claret.
