"The 2009 Château Perron from the Guignard brothers in the Graves, is in excellent shape. A blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot and Cab Franc from a 10/10 vintage, it’s the perfect claret for Christmas, full of soft, ripe, spicy and mellow blackcurrant fruit and wood shavings. It’s a real treat to get fully mature red Bordeaux from such a fine vintage for such a fair price. I’m bagging myself some bottles."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
Château Perron 2009 is a crackingly good Graves from one of the great vintages of modern times. With 12 years of bottle age it now deliciously mature and will last for at least another 5-7 years at its peak.
High quality affordable 2009 has all but disappeared from the market and certainly at anything like this price.
All in all it is a lovely mature claret and I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I am.
