Rock Angel, Château d’Esclans Magnums 2017

Magnum 150cl bottle: £48.95

Case of 6 Magnum 150cl bottles: £293.70

Rock Angel is a very serious Rose in it’s own right and similar to good white Burgundy in complexity and style. It ticks all the boxes - it is crisp and refreshing with extraordinary depth of character and very impressive length. Alongside the summer fruits and mineral acidity, there is a wonderful smokiness, with hints of toasted almonds and a mouthwatering creaminess. This is glorious now and will age gracefully over the next few years. The 2017 vintage is very, very good and the 2015 vintage was voted in Decanter's "Top 10 Rosés from around the World" and awarded 92 Points.

"Rock Angel is more serious. Jancis Robinson chose the previous vintage as her top premium rosé and this is even better. A blend of Grenache and Rolle with a touch of oak, it’s full of wild strawberries, cream, herbs, spice and, well, sunshine. It has weight and character too." Jonathan Ray, The Spectator
