Mas de Cadenet Rosé, Côtes De Provence 2020
The new 2020 vintage of Mas de Cadenet has just arrived and is ready to be delivered to all our many loyal followers of this superb organic Provence rosé including myself!
The vineyards of Mas de Cadenet lie in the foothills of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, and this glorious rosé gets better and better with each passing year and their new 2020 vintage is a lovely pale (wild) salmon pink in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with restrained complex fruit flavours of red berries and white summer fruit with a hint of rosé petals, and just the right amount of zippy acidity to give it grip on the finish, and the alcohol is a modest 12.5%.
We are all in for a treat here - my delivery has just arrived and a brace of bottles are already in my fridge, and it is a lovely sunny day here in rural Leicestershire.

How does this wine taste?
Lightly coloured, with a delicate nose with scents of citrus and spices. The mouth is fruit forward and refreshing.
What do the critics say?
Reviews of the previous vintage:
"Spring is here and it's time to find room in the fridge for some decent pinkers. Happily, there's no need to look further than Mas de Cadenet Côtes de Provence Rosé, previous vintages of which we've offered very successfully. This pale, pale blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah is as good as ever: lively, faintly spicy and herbal and drinkable."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
"Very pale pink and imbued with the fragrances of crushed stone and sun-dried herbs, Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire Rosé is the embodiment of the appellation. This blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah is medium-bodied yet lively and refreshing, with white peach and melon flavours tinged with red currants, finishing cool and stony."
