"Finally, the 2019 Garrus , which has
some claim to be the finest of all the worlds
rosés. That, certainly, is Sacha Lichines aim.
Made from barrel-fermented, barrel-aged,
old vine fruit from a single vineyard, its as
serious as they come. Its eye-wateringly
pricy, yes, but so silky smooth and concentrated and so damn moreish that its impossible to ignore. Think of it in the same terms
as fine vintage champagne or top white burgundy and it doesnt seem unfairly priced at
all. If you can afford it, grab it."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
Considered Château dEsclans finest wine, Garrus is made from a single vineyard of nearly 100-year-old Grenache vines, and from Rolle (Vermentino). Entirely fermented and aged in new large French oak barrels for 11 months, the powerful and elegant Garrus was at the heart to Sacha Lichines vision in 2006 to make rosé grand. Today Garrus is firmly established as a world class, iconic luxury rosé. It is an impressive and concentrated rosé with a creamy finish featuring rich and spicy notes rivalling any top white wine or prestige Champagne.
"I sense that Garrus will, one day, be mentioned in the same breath as wines like La Tâche, Latour, Vieilles Vignes Françaises and Le Montrachet"
20/20 Matthew Jukes
