Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Domaine de la Campanette 2017

75cl bottle: £10.95

Case of 12 75cl bottles: £131.40

Touraine Sauvignon from the Loire is one of the most crisp and refreshing wines to enjoy over the summer. This particular one is the best we have tried in a long time, wonderfully clean and fresh and a great accompaniment for salads, goats cheese dishes or seafood.

Our Tasting Notes

Beautifully aromatic with fresh grassy, citrus flavours. Clean and crisp on the palate with hints of melon and subtle minerality, all rounded off with nice length on the finish.

Wine Data

Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Appellation: Touraine
Alcohol: 13%

Touraine, central AoP of Loire Valley, is the birth place of Sauvignon Blanc and produces some of the best in the world. Domaine de la Campanette’s vineyards extend over 2 AoP areas: Valençay and Touraine, where our Sauvignon Blanc is produced (100,000 bottles). The vines grow on the ancient river (Le Cher) terraces and on 2 types of soil: flint clays and shell clays. Viticulture here is sustainable. The grapes are picked when fully ripened and vinified using the modern techniques of temperature control. The priority is to extract a maximum of fruit aromas and just the right amount of tannin and acidity to produce a perfect structure, so that the wine remains a pleasure to drink.
