A 93 point Chianti Classico Riserva (the best area of Chianti, the geographically tight original Chianti heartland on the hillside) from the Bindi Sergardi family, whose wines were an absolute revelation to us. This Riserva was aged in oak barriques for 15 months before remaining stored in the cellar for refinement prior to its release to us for a further 15 months. The result is a wine of exceptional concentration and intensity that retains impressive elegance. This is beautifully-made wine. Ideally decant for an hour or so before drinking to enjoy it at its best.

Our Tasting Notes

Intense ruby red color. The nose shows fruity and floral notes together with spicy flavours. Soft, elegant and well structured. Freshness, complexity, graceful and silky tannins are the result of a careful selection of sangiovese grapes growing on Alberese and Galestro soils. This wine is vibrant and has a long finish. It is an excellent expression of Mocenni’s terroir and of Chianti Classico Riserva.

For 23 generations the Bindi Sergardi family has been planting and replanting vines with a never-ending passion for wine. Bindi Sergardi's lands spread over 1000 hectares of land in Siena. The vineyards are planted in the important DOCG of Chianti Classico, Chianti Colli Senesi and Chianti.
