This mixed case includes two bottles including two bottles each of:

2021 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Maison Jaffelin
Since 1816, Maison Jaffelin's story intertwines with the Collégiale Notre Dame de Beaune. Formerly the Chapitre, now Jaffelin, their wines echo centuries of heritage. From housing the Collégiale's wines to the Jaffelin brothers' founding, their cellars embody history. Today, their wines age in the Chapitre's serene cellars, preserving tradition in every bottle, as they have for eight centuries.

"...from the smallest of the great Burgundy négociants, is a complete delight. From 100 per cent Pinot Noir - of course - it's vibrant and fresh with soft, succulent raspberry/mulberry notes. I tried it lightly chilled and, well, just couldn't put it down. Luscious and inviting, it's a wine with a smile on its face."  Jonathan Ray, The Spectator (previous vintage)

2020 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Rouge, Domaine Lecheneaut
This domaine crafts an extensive range of the finest villages in the Côte de Nuits, thus offering pinots that are rich, sumptuous, precise, and elegant. Here are wines modern in style, crafted with minimal intervention, and encapsulating the essence of fruit purity and stunning terroir expression.

From the hamlet of Chevrey, 70-80 year old vines trained low and south facing. The vineyard has only been purchased recently but they worked it before. A significant density of dark purple, and a weight of fruit that is atypical of the Hautes Côtes. Just a smoky touch behind which could be from the stems (40%) or from the barrel (450 litre size). The fruit is a livelier raspberry with more evident points of acidity. Drink 2024-2029. Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com (previous vintage)

2018 Côte de Nuits-Villages Rouge, Domaine Joseph Roty
Since 1710 and notable owners of some of the oldest vines in the region that are thought to date back to the end of the 19th century. A Gevrey-based Domaine with a considerable cult following and regular producer of some of the region's most exquisite wines. Wines that are bold, exuberant, fruit driven and judiciously oaked. Wines that remain among the most sought-after with every vintage.

"...a well-defined nose of blackberry, hickory and boysenberry fruit. The palate is sweet on the entry with a slightly honeyed texture, opulent black cherries mixed with crème de cassis and (thankfully) a nicely detailed, quite persistent finish."
88-90pts, Neal Martin, vinous.com.
