It’s not easy to find great wines under £10 these days, but France’s deep south is definitely the place to hunt around. The Languedoc could well be the world’s best value wine region – as well as its biggest (over a third of France’s wine production comes from here). This is always my first port of call for ‘everyday’ wines, where I’m looking for lots of flavour and character at a sensible price.
We’ve just discovered an excellent new range of varietals from the region- these are bright, expressive, fruit forward wines – eminently drinkable, and smartly presented to boot.
