"The 2018 Domaine du Bicheron, MâconPéronne, FromVineyardsDirects bestselling white, is corking value old vine white burgundy brimming with fresh apple and quince notes and just a tease of citrus and honey."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine

The new vintage of our top-selling Mâcon-Péronne has just arrived in our cellars. This is a delicious, hand-crafted, old vine white burgundy made by the Rousset family in Péronne, just to the north of Pouilly-Fuissé. The same family have been making wine here since 1889. This new vintage is a delightfully fresh, well-balanced and complex white burgundy at a very good price indeed, a rare find considering the tiny harvests in recent years.

The previous vintage won a gold medal at the 'Chardonnay du Monde' competition held last year, the annual tasting of nearly 700 wines from 37 countries to select the best Chardonnays in the world.

How does the wine taste?
A fresh, nectarine scented nose; richly textured palate with clean acidity, juicy, stone fruit character, mineral streak and a long finish. Very well put together, complex and full white burgundy.

Beautiful and quaffable white burgundy, more similar in taste to a really good pouis fume than a Maconaise. Good value.

Delicious - more of a hint of tropical fruit than most white Burgundies but still with an underlying acidity

Very drinkable. I do not have the olfactory vocabulary needed to describe a flavour. It is enjoyable, though.
