2018 was a great vintage in Bordeaux and particularly good for Merlot and especially for Château Méaume’s 'Réserve du Château'. It was sourced from their oldest plots of Merlot vines with an average age of 50+ years, where low yields make for a wonderfully rich, concentrated wine.'Réserve du Château' - so we did, although they dont have that much left.
The wine which comes in wooden cases (12x75cl) is drinking beautifully as it approaches full maturity and it has the power and depth to last for at least another ten years.
