A merlot/cabernet blend from one of St Julien's super seconds. Round smooth and rich fruit flavours with a hint of liqourice and underlying minerality.
The wine is predominantly merlot with a dash of cabernet franc. Rich and concentrated with layers of mellow red berry fruits, and a very long lingering finish.
Sourced from cooler sites in Limoux, the Barrique Blanc is rendered a beautifully expressive, barrel-aged, authentically styled Burgundian white, and one wonderfully versatile with cuisine.
