With Christmas fast approaching, I thought there no better time to introduce two of our cracking go to wines for festive entertaining. The red: a perfectly mature claret from the stellar 2010 vintage from Château Laroche Bel Air, laden with ripe plums, damsons and a long, smooth finish. For the white, a lovely, rich, old-vine Burgundy from Cave DAzé that bursts with ripe orchard fruit, clove, spice and warming oak.
