A gentle swish and the pale golden hue in the glass releases aromas of citrus, exotic tropical fruit and spring blossom - intense, expressive with a hint of richness and nutty maturity.
The palate is beautifully in sync with the nose, elegant notes of fleshy white peach and ripe lemon flavours fill the palate with a real texture and depth. A few extra months resting in bottle has been rewarded by more expressive, layered flavours and richness.
And that palatal texture is not from time in oak, rather extended ageing on fine lees in stainless steel, that brings a delicate hint of cloves, roasted nuts and smoky spice with malolactic fermentation adding a creamy edge with a hint of age-induced richness all neatly punctuated by a mineral infused zip on the finish
