Deep, dark and seductive it coats the walls of the glass as you swirl releasing aromas laced with dried fruit, prune, raisin, cracked black pepper and warming cedary spice, it's so warming and comforting before you've even tasted.
The palate it perfectly balanced offering an intense raft of sweet, dark berries and spice, raisins cinnamon a hint of warming oak, clove and mocha. That rich, concentrated, dark-forest fruit doesn't become cloying, balanced as it is by a punctuating mouth-cleansing tannic grip, on the very lengthy, complex finish.
The intense, unmatched warmth of fine Amarone makes it the perfect wine to counter to the bracing winter chill. Serve with a lavish roast, game pie with a rich gravy or a simple hearty stew and you'll be in heaven. Or simply whilst sat in your favourite chair in front of a crackling log fire. Perfect.
