Pouilly-Fumé, Domaine Des Fines Caillottes, Jean Pabiot et Fils 2022
This is a very good vintage, possibly one of the best, but more time is needed to judge. Overall it is a success for both Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc with well-balanced wines having both concentration and freshness 5/5.

Promising words for a promising vintage. But when it comes to Jean Pabiot's 2022 Fines Caillottes Pouilly-Fumé, we need no more time to judge how good. A promise fulfilled: classic grassy, citrussy, aromas, smoky notes are on the nose for a palate dazzled by crisp, ripe, zesty, minerally streaked, grapefruit-citrus fruit, mouthwatering acidity and seemingly endless length.
As we've said before, were a huge fans of Pouilly-Fumé, and maintain that Pabiot's is among the best you'll pull a cork from. Which is hardly surprising, given the Pabiot's are a fifth-generation family of artisanal growers who cultivate some of the best terroirs in this famous Loire appellation: Silex (flint) and Kimmeridgian (clay and limestone partially composed of fossilised crustacea).
So, now that the autumnal seafood season is upon us (speaking of crustacea), never is there a better time or a fine bottle of Pouilly-Fumé: mussels, oysters, crabs, clams - Pabiot et Fils makes the perfect pair.
Beautiful clean tasting delicious.
