"The 2018 St Emilion is nothing less than an ace guest haul, which we are delighted to host in these pages. Rich, deep and succulent, its Merlot dominant, of course, as is the grand vin, which, incidentally, sells for around £360 a bottle, making this an absolute steal."
Jonathan Ray, The Spectator Magazine
Our 2018 vintage has just arrived and is from one of the top four Premier Grand Cru Classé properties of St-Émilion, which is as good as it gets. The wine is predominantly merlot with a hint of cabernet franc from grapes grown on the best south facing slopes at the top of the St-Émilion plateau. As a result, it is forward and beginning to drink well already (if you decant) and it will improve and has a good 7-10 years at least ahead of it. In the glass, a combination of power and class, with rich, complex, red berry fruit and seamlessly integrated oak. Deliciously ripe merlot fruit blends beautifully with fragrant cabernet franc showing a wine of exceptional elegance and poise.
