Warmer, sunnier days in West coast highland life mean lots of island picnics - cockles, langoustines, oysters, crabs, and fish of all kinds, as well as really lovely white wine, which becomes increasingly important. Whether it's Picpoul de Pinet, Mas Carlot Blanc or Vidal-Fleury's Côtes-du-Rhône, these are all crackingly good wines.
