The buzz around English Pinot Noir seems to be getting louder and louder. Why? Because as vines age while winemakers perfect their craft, and as our summers gradually become warmer, all factors ensure that the quality of home-grown pinot production continues to soar. I recently tasted the new 2023 vintage and it could be the best yet with every passing vintage, the increasing age of the vines enhances the character and texture.
The Essex/Suffolk border, in particular, is proving a real hotspot for the variety, with a number of top Burgundian estates reportedly investing in the regions vineyards. In picturesque Constable country, David Alstons delicious Higham Vineyard is one of the best we have found.
The 2023 is unmistakeably Pinot Noir, with its bright, expressive red fruit and striking aromatic presence. Its a perfumed, cherry-laden style, with bags of ripe fruit, luscious texture and a subtle hint of smokiness and spice.

We aim to deliver your wines within our standard 1 to 4 working days. 90% of orders are delivered within 48 hours. There are certain wines which are on a pre-order status and these are clearly marked on the product themselves and at the checkout stage. Deliveries take place between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
