Mâcon Chardonnay, Domaine Talmard 2022
You've probably noticed by now our severe fondness for the great Mâconnais producer that is Domaine Talmard. Its likely youve heard us wax on in the firm belief that Paul and Mallory Talmard make some of the best chardonnay around white Burgundy of almost unparalleled value. No, we don't seem to shut up about Domaine Talmard.
But its not just us. Last year, our customers purchased over 8,000 bottles of their 2022 Mâcon-Uchizy, making it indisputably one of our most popular wines. An overwhelming endorsement of that firm belief if ever we saw one!
Trouble is, such demand has since far outstripped the volume of Mâcon-Uchizy available to us. So, when we approached the Talmards for another cuvée of equal brilliance, again they came up trumps their 2022 Mâcon-Chardonnay.

Paul Talmard began bottling and shipping his wines in 1978. Today, the domaine is run by Pauls daughter Mallory and her husband Benjamin who tend 50 acres of vines around the communes of Chardonnay and Uchizy. The village of Chardonnay is widely believed to be where the grape variety of the same name originated.
