Estate Reserve Red Blend Glenelly, Stellenbosch 2016
Madame de Lencquesaing made Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Pauillac, one of Bordeauxs most sought after châteaux and has taken her immense skill and talent to her Glenelly Estate in South Africa. The Glenelly Estate Reserve Red and Glenelly Reserve Chardonnay are both delicious wines of the highest quality and a tribute to one of the great winemaking icons for the past 50 years.
Although octogenarian, Madame de Lencquesaing (pictured) was not prepared for retirement. Rather, she would apply her considerable experience gained among Bordelais elites to the soils, microclimates and terroir potential in Glenelly Estates 128 hectares which are set in Stellenbosch, the heart of South African wine making.
