`Moa Ridge 2013 Pinot Noir`

75cl bottle: £19.95

Case of 12 75cl bottles: £239.40

Having taken stock of the initial orders, we have a few cases left.

We have just taken delivery of 25 cases of Moa Ridge 2013 Pinot Noir only to find that it is actually Clayvin Vineyards 2013 labelled in error. Moa Ridge is a good pinot noir priced at just under £20. Clayvin though is a world class pinot that sells for £30-£35 and even at that price is in my view under priced, certainly in Burgundian terms (where it would be £50 a bottle). Clayvin were keen to ship the parcel back to New Zealand but we persuaded them to let us offer it to our customers to show them just how good Clayvin is – especially at £10-£15 off the normal bottle price. The wine is superb and to be fair to all our customers we are limiting all orders to a maximum of 1 case (12x75cl) per order. There will be no more of this at this price….

Our Tasting Notes

A fabulous oak-aged pinot noir with an intense and rich nose - aromatically complex and deeply elegant, the wine shows world-class restraint and terroir expression. Like a good red Burgundy, ethereal in the Chambolle-Musigny style, it is already delicious and will age well for the next 3-5 years.
